What Do You Think?

I received this question in an e-mail. Help a girl out!

"How do you tell when God is shutting a door or when it is Satan blocking your way....how do you tell the difference?"

11 comments:

  1. Two things.

    1) Peace. Even when doors have been shut by the Almighty in my life, I have peace.

    B) Satan can try all he want to block a door. But trust me when I say this: GOD CAN PICK SATAN'S SCRAWNY LITTLE SELF UP AND DEPOSIT HIM ELSEWHERE to get His perfect plan accomplished in our lives.

    Am I right?

  2. Completely agree with Cindy!

Another thing, listen for God to speak about it, because he will. Be in the word, seek others to talk to about it, it might be in the most random of ways....just listen and be alert.

  3. Why should I even comment after Cindy's? Makes me wanna shout like my 89 year old grandmother in a pentacostal church service.

  5. I agree. And you have to be sure and get your own desires out of the way so you can hear Him.

  6. God will never speak against His word when He speaks to you, so just staying IN His word...daily Bible studies...will clarify a lot. Also, God is very clear. I don't have a problem hearing Him and knowing what He wants from me as long as I'm in constant communication with Him. The problem, for me, comes when I'm trying to do things my own way and only consult Him when I need help.

It's just like anyone else...if I don't ever talk to my husband, I might find it difficult to figure out what he's trying to tell me.

  8. Yep, peace. And the more I know Christ through humbling myself to Him, the more I "know" His voice. It's all that Romans 12:2 business.

(this is exactly what I was talking about yesterday...you and your blue question mark!)

  9. I'm in agreement with the above. Peace, above all I think. And to have that we must stay close to God. In constant communion with Him.

  10. OK....I have heard what they think....But what does the beautiful Ms. Meadows think?

I'm not sure if I am going to let you get away with the blue question mark questions anymore. We want answers. ;)
