Let's Do This!

I have been completely overwhelmed (in a good way!), by your comments and emails regarding the YouVersion Bible plans I wrote and submitted this year!  Thank you!

Your comments have inspired me to use this blog again.  I won't commit to a regular writing schedule, but I will be posting here, so hold me accountable!

I have some good news!

Read that!  Week 8 was submitted just today, and will be published on October 30.  I can't wait to share it with you.

Keep those comments and emails coming.  You are a blessing to me!

  1. Just about to launch into this study. I am curious. Are any of your children " special needs"? One of our 9 has Down Syndrome and Wow! She keeps us on our toes. Thanks

  2. None of mine were ever labeled, except on any given day as being a "special needs" child. 😉 I have learned this. God does give us more than we can handle, and as we pull into Him, He will provide all we need for every difficult child. He makes no mistakes! I'm excited to hear back from you as you go through these readings, and will certainly be praying for you in your overwhelmed time. Thanks for your comment.

    1. Yes amen!!! Many people have said, God won't give us more than we can handle right?" And I tell them, "oh yes He will, because He wants us to know that the only way to get through those really trying times is with Him...we can't do it on our own, we NEED Him, we need to fully rely on Him." 2 out of 3 of my kids have major health problems, my 6 year old has stage 3 chronic kidney disease and we go in to talk to the transplant team in Jan. My 3 year old has a syndrome called Sturge-webber syndrome. She has abnormal blood vessels on the surface of her brain and her latest MRI showed the white matter if her brain is calcifying, and the lower left side is losing volume. (She should 've mentally handicaped) but our God is the great physician and she is as sharp as a tac and we think that is because she was seizure free for 2 and a half years so her brain could develop before she started having more. I praise God daily because my children even though they have these hurdles live fantastic lives and they love the Lord too.

I just want to thank you for these studies, I really feel like you wrote them specifically for me. I have been been blessed.

  3. Thank you! I stumbled upon the 7th part, finished it, then realized there is more! I am so excited to do the first six parts. Even just part 7 has spoken so much into me and I feel myself drawing nearer to God. He is amazing in that this has been exactly what this tired momma needs right now.

    1. I was just looking on the internet to see if these were excerpts from a book! I am not usually a person who enjoys devotionals but I love this series! You are speaking to me and I would love to buy your book some day!

    2. Yes yes! I have also looked to see if there was a book form for this study and would snatch it up right away if there ever is - and buy a copy for all my mom friends! Your series was just what I needed at the time I found it and over the last 9 segments of it (just found #10 this morning!!) I have found myself drawing closer to God, being a calmer mom, and a renewed love for being in the Word. Thank you!

  9. Your devotions have been a game changer for me. The words that God gave you, altered the way I parented my high spirited toddler. I found your devis when I was honestly OVERWHELMED by my son. He's a great boy, just has a lot of passion and it can get taxing. I had finished part 7 several weeks ago,and I've been struggling since to find Devon that speak to me like yours did. So I was EXTREMELY excited when I came on your site this morning and saw you had a part 8!! Thank you for sharing your wisdom. ❤️

  10. Hi!! Thank you for sharing you talents as a Christian wife, mother, and author! I have shared your plans on the Bible application to 4 of my friends. The Lord is definitely using you!!! Thank you! I am looking for part 4 and can't find it.... I have completed 1-3 and 5. Thank you again for all you hard work! May God pour his favor over you as you continue on with this!

  11. My friend and I found your devotion after we were chatting about being overwhelmed by the challenging kids we both adopted. Were any of your kids adopted? We are doing the study together to hold each other accountable and share the verses that spoke to us. Thank you for writing these! I'm praying that God will help me to find a different more effective way to parent the one out of 4 children I have that continuously overwhelms me with her lying, sneaking, tempertantrums (@10yrs!).

  12. I'm on part 5 and was afraid that was it, but I'm SO happy to know there are more! I've been very very blessed by your devotionals. Thank you so much for writing them. I'm a mom of 3 very young children, and each night I feel like I'm reading something so helpful and relatable and it makes me feel like someone gets it and at the same time continually points me back towards God. Thank you for letting God use you to bless others. ♡

  13. I recently came across your plans and it has helped me tremendously with my strong willed ADHD son. Overwhelmed and angry have been my most common emotions lately. I have struggled for so long and after coming across your devo, it has really made me feel like it's ok to feel the way I do, its normal! And more than that, there's hope in the other side. I truly feel like God is hearing my prayers and speaking to me through your words. You have a great understanding and perspective on motherhood... the fact that you have good news from the other side of parenting inspires me to know I can get through this season. Thank you so much!

  14. Thank you so much for writing and offering this amazing series!! It has helped me so much get through being a single mom and remembering that God is always with me and I’m never alone!

  15. Please publish this series in to book so I can give it to every mom in my life! This is the most incredible series. So challenging and encouraging at the same time. It heals my heart and breaks it in just one study day. God is doing a work through you and I am so blessed by your words and love how each day has a ton of scripture connected to it!

  16. Thank you for these devotions. Every day spoke to my heart and gave me such encouragement. It's such a blessing to have your real life experiences (which I totally relate too!) but the power and redirection that you give from scripture is powerful and life changing.

  17. THANK YOU for your Overwhelmed by Blessings reading plan. I cannot believe how much it is exactly what I need every single day. The Lord is speaking to me so clearly through your work. 18. Robin, how do you still look so young and have all your hair after raising and homeschooling your 7 kids?! I have only 4, and your devotional has been a lifeline! I'm just glad that I found out there was more than just 1 week! I was tempted to not complete it and keep rereading it. Good thing my youngest rolled off the bed in the wee hours of the morning which caused me to wake up to find more devotional weeks! Thank you for making this journey more of a joy by sharing your insights and experiences! Any tips on homeschooling with toddlers? ;)

  19. Hello Robin,
Thank you so much for these reading plans. I’ve juste finished the last one and feel sad that it’s over. I’m from Belgium and for these 8 last weeks I felt like there’s an other mom far away that inderstands exactly what I feel and what I need to hear and learn. I had the feeling you were reading my mind. You are a blessing to so many and God has given you a gift, I hope you will use it again for more writing.
Thanks again and God bless you.

  23. I came on here also, to see if you have published any books. I would love to see these in a book. In the mean time I'm going to copy and paste and print them if I can, because I keep wanting to go back and re-reading them! Thank you so much for these. My kids are 11 and 14 and these are still relevant to me every day. I am also a working mom, not stay at home, but the struggles are the same.

  24. Thank you for sharing your life as a mom with us. Your description of motherhood is always spot on. I can't tell you how many times "Overwhelmed by my Blessings" has been an encouragement to me!!! Thank you!!!

  25. I am actually working on putting them into book form right now! Pray for me—this is out of my skill set. And I haven’t even gotten to the cover portion yet 😳

  27. Your devotionals have been SO encouraging to me. I am a mom of a threenager girl and a 7 month old boy and times can be trying, especially with my little girl. I just want to thank you for being so real and making a devotional that is the perfect length, has the perfect content and is so applicable in everyday life! I really think you should write a book and if/when you do, I am on the list for first to buy! Thanks again! ❤️ ~Lydia

    1. If I could post a picture of Catness from the hunger games doing the two finger sign I would, if you know what I'm talking about...if not, I totally understand. I have 2 girls, almost 5 and almost 3. They act very "developmentally appropriate" and they can be a very overwhelming blessing! Hang in there mama! I'm sure you are doing great! :-)

  28. Thank you, thank you! God has blessed me so much with your devotions! I just started part 4 today and I'm already planning to go back through the whole study a second time. Every day is exactly what I need and all of the Bible verses are just amazing and perfect for what I need to hear. Thank you! God bless you!

  29. I have a question...
I have read all 12 parts in the bible app - more than once! Looking at the two volumes of your book online and wondering if I should be leaning towards 1 or 2 as far as which ones I have already read or no?
Thank you for being available and eager to be used by God. These devotionals as many have already stated are such a blessing and help to draw nearer to God! What a mission you have been given! A couple kids in and I remember telling my mom I was overwhelmed by my blessings and the next day I found your devotionals on the bible app titled by my words! A couple kids more and I find myself searching routinely for more from Robin Meadows. 💕

  30. Thank you for your comment!

The books are in two volumes because the second part of the series wasn’t written when I published the first volume. The books take you deeper into each devotional with guided questions at the end of each day, plus there is bonus material. Begin with either volume, but add the other as you are able to! Many blessings on your growing family!
