Mom? You Aren’t on Your Phone??
Do your children see you reading your Bible, or just being on your phone? It’s something to think about!
I have vivid memories of my dad sitting with a fresh cup of coffee and his open Bible every morning when I got up.
Volume 2 of Overwhelmed is now available on Amazon and offers you the opportunity to get out your actual paper Bible!
This volume is 31 days of devotionals, complete with reflection questions at the end of each day to journal. It includes a never-before published day, and the index at the end of the book. This index gives the ability to look up plan days and scriptures to go along with your feelings in the moment: anger, frustration, loneliness, etc.
I hope you will check it out.
Don’t mom alone!
Thankyou for this, I do feel that I am on my phone a lot when my little ones try and get my attention I always put it down but it is starting to impact on my relationship with them. I feel sad that a lot of this generation of children are growing up with watching their parents choose their phones before them. I cant begin to imagine what that does to their self esteem.
ReplyDeleteI will take this challenge and start to actively read my bible instead.
Let me know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteThis post shake me a Little. I'm trying dont use my phone with my girls around, but sometimes is dificult keep this when my work depends on this. But the Bible need to be the instrument that they Will remember in my hands, not mobile.
ReplyDeleteI hear you! With our modern technology we do almost everything from our phones. The value and security our children can gain from seeing an actual Bible regularly open before us is immense! But it is a challenge.
