And some of you girls only get flowers…. ; )
(If you know me very well at all, you know this is a very special gift. It’s right up there with used Starbucks coffee grounds that my newest s-i-l, Alexander brought me for my compost.)
Is there a gift you received that was odd, but meaningful?
Awwww!
ReplyDeleteThe best gifts are the most thoughtful ones. So sweet.
A couple of years ago I got a shovel with holes in it while my sister in law got something really girly. I was overjoyed! NOW I can use my "holey shovel" to pick up hot coals from a fire and the ashes will fall through the holes...then I put the hot coals on top of the dutch oven at our campsite...yummy cobbler! I'll be taking a picture of it for this spring's blog...
ReplyDeleteA dust buster. Seriously every mom needs one! My single friends were thinking 'A Dust Buster? Poor Girl" I was giddy! He had noticed how hard I worked to clean up all those little messes and had thoughtfully given me back the gift of time!
ReplyDeleteFeel free to come use that in my yard anytime you like. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe boys bring Shelly blooming weeds all the time from across the street. She puts them in water and everything. I keep telling them that they are weeds but they keep bringing them
ReplyDeleteJayma!
ReplyDeleteKim - I want that recipe. Going camping in a couple of weeks!
FOJ - a GREAT gift!
Michael--with all you've done for us lately, that's not a bad idea! ; )
Roger--Erin's boys brought her weed-flower on Mother's Day. She put them in water too. Hey, some of them are pretty!
This year, vision...Lasik eye surgery. I'm SO excited.
ReplyDeleteLast Christmas? A swivel sweeper...but I had to order myself and beg and not tell any of my girlfriends for his fear of harrassment! :D
Well I live on a houseboat and my boyfriend and bestfriend bought me a battery working chainsaw for christmas. He said that when we get to a Ialand that l could go cut down a tree to make a fire for a weiner roast. LOL I just love it.
