You May Be a Home Educator if.....

A re-run, but one I want you, my readers to understand: what I believe about home education.

Add to my list. What makes a parent a “home educator”?

You may be a home educator if…..

*You teach your children to love God

*You teach your children to love and respect others

*You teach your children manners

*You teach your children how to do chores

*You teach your children to give

*You read to your child

*Building family relationships is very important to you

You are a home educator if you are intentional in your efforts to “teach a child in the way he should go”.

Somehow, we get caught up in thinking it's all about academics.

Are you a home educator?

  1. Like I said before when you posted this:

I AM A HOME EDUCATOR!!! I just happen to use the public school system to help me out a bit.

In fact, I just home educated Noah and Seth last night!!! Yay for home educators!!!

  3. Ditto EXACTLY what Cindy and Nat said. I've had great experiences with public school and knwoing they are gone a few hours a day makes me very aware of the importance of their time at home. Who knows what the future holds...maybe those little guys will be home all day someday.
Thanks for the encouragement to all.

  4. WOW- After reading that I am a Home Schooling Momma! Yeah!! Sometimes I feel like a failure not being able to teach at home. My kids are probably better off in their public schools though. :)

  5. Oh definitely! You also may be a home educating family if your highlight of the week is Family Game Night! And sometimes game night continues on for several days. Especially a rousing game of monopoly!

  6. I'm really glad you're here! You're really an encouragement! To see someone who's 'been there, done that' and your children aren't freaks....it gives me hope that I can educate at home, too.

I have seen ENORMOUS transformations in Addyson since I brought her home just over a year ago.

  7. Well I'm not a mom but I think I'm a home educator. Trying to teach my nephews what's right and wrong when I get to see them, teaching them manners, respect, and most important... Loving them :)

  9. We loved our public school too, but decided home educating was best for us last year. When I was surprised at how simple it was my mom said "Honey, the reason is because you have been home schooling them all along!" It's true, all of us who are in this mom thing with our whole hearts are home educating, whether we are using other "schools" or not.

  10. Robin, I love this because on the days I feel like I get NOTHING done, I can rest in the fact that this is REALLY enough! You are such a sweet encourager in my spirit. I love you! Miss you!
